Driving Change: Our Founder’s Vision for Impact Chain and Sustainable Supply Chains

Kia ora, I’m Lauren, the Founder of Impact Chain, and we’re on a mission to help one of humanity's most important industries—the global supply chain. The significance of this sector became crystal clear during the COVID-19 pandemic, and now it faces another wave of disruption. Why? Because a freight train of compliance is heading straight for supply chains. In fact, if you're exporting to Europe, trade agreements are already demanding compliance.

Why Compliance Matters

A staggering 60% of global emissions stem from the supply chain, prompting global regulatory bodies to mandate new compliance regulations aimed at combating climate change. Companies must now meticulously report and audit their emissions and ethical behaviours across the entire supply chain, spanning from raw material sources to end consumers.

Do You Have Supplier Visibility?

Do you have the necessary visibility and data transparency across your suppliers to accurately report your supply chain's carbon footprint and social impact? Currently, 95% of companies can only see their tier one suppliers, like a brick in a wall, the brick only sees the bricks around it, it doesn’t see the wall.

The Challenge and Impact Chain's Solution

Navigating compliance today is complex, manual, and costly. Gathering data at scale relies heavily on supplier cooperation, leading to significant gaps in education and skills. Impact Chain steps in as a pioneer in addressing this global imperative. We utilise AI to transform supply chains into profitable, net-zero powerhouses where compliance isn't just mandatory but a catalyst for innovation and sustainable growth.

Why It’s Important to Me

As the founder of Impact Chain, I've dedicated over 25 years to pushing the boundaries of technology and innovation in international supply chains. I understand the complexities of supply chains firsthand and have successfully driven innovation in this field, contributing to many of today’s supply chain advancements.

My goal was to create something more than just another sustainability dashboard—I aim to truly revolutionise the core of supply chain operations by using compliance as a catalyst for innovation. This approach seeks to balance day-to-day operational decisions with considerations for emissions and, in the future, ethical behaviours.

Ultimately, it's about creating resilient supply chains that can meet the needs of future generations.
